the activities of daily living, and orientation teacher in me says that if you are bumping into trees in the middle of the sidewalk that you are not making effective use of your navigation tool of choice; e.g. cane/dog/other device.

The english fanatic in me says that anyone who puts a tree in the middle of a sidewalk doesn't know what the word "walk" means, and the fact that it doesn't mean "grow", "attract insects", "get diseased and die so they have to tear the thing down anyway", it means "walk". LOL
