So my roommate is cheap, refused to pay money for a real anti-virus program. So he got AVG on his computer. In the last little while, his computer was really showing the signs of severe infection, and since it's my network, I got concerned. So, deciding that enough was enough, I bought him a year of Eset Smart Security. I didn't want viruses parading across my network.

So today we set to the task of installing. The amount of crap on his computer was ridiculous. We got rid of as much as we could with add/remove programs, and are now running Eset's in-depth scan. Under the watchful eye of AVG, last time we checked, the scan was at 33%, with 22 infiltrations. By which I mean that under the watchful eye of AVG, my roommate's computer acquired all sorts of bad stuff. AVG is, in my very, very sincere opinion, a piece of filthy, rotten, worthless, disgusting, useless, intolerably lame, junky, Pepsi-esque crap. And I mean that in the nicest way.
