Lots of us would like to have a spare thousand dollars... As I've posted to you, I can relate to your situation in many ways, though it has been quite a bit longer since I've seen the special person in my life. Time apart really does strengthen your relationship in ways that may not seem very evident right now.
I second what 3Kitties said in her comment. Believe me, I know what you're going through, but I also know it isn't unbearable, despite how it might feel right now. Imagine spending only one week with that special someone in a period spanning over five years. Sometimes it is true that the best things are worth waiting for. You'll get through it, I promise. And, who knows, maybe somebody just might have that spare grand. I wouldn't count on that, though, I know it's never happened to me.
