More monstrous than a rabbit, more colossal than a porta-potty, more magnificent than a Beethoven symphony played on the kazoo, it's yet another gut-wrenching edition of Toews on the Waves on Shellworld Radio. The whens, hows and wheres of listening will all be listed at the end of this post.
This week on the show, in the fifteen-minute spotlight, we look at the number 83 to 78 songs of the year 1966. When I recorded the show, I had no clue what these songs would turn out to be, so I was as surprised as anyone. Plus our usual features: Songs I Can't Stand, Ripley's Believe It or Not, and a great deal more - oldies, novelty tunes, and then some.
In our second hour, it's a double feature, with two episodes of the radio version of the Story of Dr. Kildaire, starring Lew Ayres and Lionel Barrymore. I recently purchased forty episodes of this show on audio CD's, and thought I'd share these wonderfully-restored shows with you.
Yes, it's the most fun you can legally have without an ice pick and a tuna casserole, it's Toews on the Waves!
