Around this time every year, it has become a tradition for me to do a special featuring the music of, in my opinion, the best song parodist of all time, Weird Al Yankovic. This has proven to be a very popular show, so I am delighted to be hosting it again this year.
Nancy Trzcinski has very graciously stepped aside this week so I could do the show in her time slot, which is Saturday, August 24, from 2:00 until 5:00 PM Eastern. that's 7:00 until 10:00 PM in the UK. We'll be featuring all of your Weird Al favorites, plus hopefully some songs you haven't heard before: some rarities and a few of the songs that made it onto his albums but maybe didn't receive as much attention as some of the others.
And what makes the show so much better is your requests, which you can send to me either before or during the show. All of the usual channels apply: you can e-mail bruce@mushroomfm.com; you can tweet @btmushroom; or you can call the request line at 206-203-3070. Even if you don't have a request, feel free to say hi to me during the show, and I'll be sure to say hi back to you. And hey, if your'e too shy to participate, that's just fine too, sit back and enjoy the music.
