Since you made one question so difficult, I need to comment in order to explain my answer. If I'm going somewhere and need to stay in a hotel, I prefer to stay in my own room unless I'm with someone I know well. If I'm going to be in meetings and things all day, I'd prefer to have my own room to come back to at night.
